Sensor unit is working intermittently
-Please remove and look behind the front cover of the sensor unit.
-Inside the groves should be a magnet.
-If magnet is not present please check ground near unit
-If unable to find magnet please contact 1 (866) 9 NO – KEYS extension 2 for a replacement.
-Please replace magnet with crazy glue gel.
Cannot
pair the sensor and relay units
-Ensure the relay unit is connected to a live power source
-Ensure the sensor unit has 4 AAA alkaline batteries installed
-Connect programmer to the sensor unit
-Sensor unit and relay unit must be 3 feet apart for proper pairing
-Follow the on screen prompts to pair the sensor and relay units.
-Still not successful? Do a factory reset by choosing option “5” system
and then option “3” factory reset. Try to pair the units again.
Cannot enroll
the initial administrative user.
*Please note: The GDO requires at least 3 successful swipes
to enroll a user. On occasion the sensor unit may require more, continue swiping
until the programmer reads “successful”
-Ensure that your finger is firm and flat, then swipe.
-Swipe 2 more times for a successful enrollment
-If you were not successful try using another finger.
-If you were still not successful breathe warm air onto your finger then attempt
swipe again.
Cannot enroll an access user
-You must be an administrative user to enroll an access user.
-Have you already enrolled 20 users? The GDO can only hold 20 users at a time.
-If user has already been enrolled please note that user may only be enrolled
once.
-With programmer connected to sensor unit, follow the onscreen prompts by going
to the main menu and choosing option “1” to enroll an access user.
-If you are still experiencing trouble unplug the programmer and close the
sensor unit for 30 seconds, then try again.
Garage
door will not open/close.
-Check that the relay unit is connected to a live power source. Then ensure
that there are 4 AAA alkaline batteries installed in the sensor unit.
-If you are still having trouble check the wires on the back of the relay unit.
Ensure they are connected, secure, and not touching the opposite screw terminal.
-Check the wires going to the garage door opener mechanism.
-If all wires are secure plug in the programmer to the sensor unit, and go
to the main menu and choose “system” then choose “test” units.
If they do not test correctly you must do a system reset and re-pair the units.
Sensor
unit will not turn on.
Please note: Only enrolled users are able to access the garage using the
GDO.
-Check that 4 AAA alkaline batteries are installed correctly and replace if
need be
-If you are still having trouble close the sensor unit, then wait for 30 seconds
and try again.
Sensor
unit will not power down.
-Close sensor unit and unplug programmer (if it is plugged in)
-If the light turned off then the unit powered down successfully. If it did
not, remove the batteries for a full 60 seconds then reinstall into the sensor
unit.
Trouble
enrolling your PIN.
-Only administrative users can enroll/change pin numbers.
-Close the sensor unit and unplug the programmer for 30 seconds. Then lift
cover, plug in programmer and try again.
-If you still are unable to enroll your pin number remove the batteries from
the sensor unit for 60 seconds then reinstall. Now attempt to enroll your pin.
Relay
unit will not turn on.
-Check that your relay unit is plugged in to a live power source. Try plugging
in a lamp to ensure the power source is live.
-Check that the adapter is plugged in to the relay unit securely
Error Messages.
>-With any error message that appears on the programmer, close the sensor units
cover and unplug the programmer for a full 30 seconds. Then proceed to plug
the programmer back in and lift the sensor unit cover.
-If this did not resolve the problem perform a system reset on the units, then
proceed to re-pair the units
